Im a newbie so pardon the questions

I have been lurking for the past two days.Did the usuall search and got even more confused.Where would I get the basic info on rom?Again im a newbie to all this. I want a few apps like the swype but don't know how about doing it.Downloading the apk but was not able to open it correctly.All i need is pointed in the correct directions.

If you really want to start digging deep...first things first is rooting your phone. The guys at AC provided a nice ROM to start with...It is the ROM I am currently on

I followed these steps, and followed along with the video from BigRick10, and I was rooted in less than an hour.

Once rooted just keep searching the forums and get involved. You will quickly pickup on some of the most popular apps.
