I just received my EVO (about 4 days ago) & it is complicated. I just came from the bb8530 & that was easier then this phone. Would any 1 be willing 2 offer sum tricks on the basics. In addition 2, recommending apps & where 2 get them. Thank you in advance 4 if help.

Read the manual, search google or get an iPhone. You have to have some kind of gadget experience to use an Android phone otherwise you will end up like some people and give an app 1 star on the market because you cant figure out that you don't open widgets.

Give it time. My husband has a BB and I hate it. I'm just not into the menus you have to go through for everything and the constant scrolling the menus. I think that once you get the hang of this you'll really like it.

hawwah - As others mentioned search this site and I'm sure you'll find more then enough information.

Do you have specific questions?

Regarding apps there are tons of them available on the market as well as other places, but, it depends on what apps or features you are looking for. Anything specific? Take a look at this tread regarding Android apps to see what others are using: http://forum.androidcentral.com/android-applications/522-your-top-5-android-applications.html

I know many folks (myself included) have been long-time BB users so I'm sure there are people here that can help.

If you have specific questions please ask so we can help guide you a little better.

I think the best advice with an Android phone is two fold:
1. Simply playing with the phone is a great way to understand it. Reading the manuals can help with some of the basics, but simply using it is the best way, IMO.
2. Give it a little bit of time. Android can seem a bit overwhelming at first, simply because there are so many things you can do with it. It is a great OS, and allows you almost limitless opportunities. But, there is a learning curve, and it will take some time to get used to it.

AC is a great place for resources for it. Simply searching the forums, and reading forum topics is a great place to find information on good apps, tips and tricks, etc.
