im having a problem with the double tapp feature can u help me out!

Im having a little problem. This double ta to silence my phone or your suppose to be able to turn the phone over and it putts the phone into vibrate mode when it rings. This feature isn't working. I have. Tried both methods and i do have checks in the boxes in the settings. So what gives is anyone else having this problem or is there possibly something im doing wrong. Help

Not sure, I think I just hit one of the volume buttons to silence the ring which also works
