I'm On AT&T - Help!

I've put my BlackBerry up for sale, and soon as it sells I'll need a new phone. I'm under contract with AT&T so will need a phone that works with them.

I really want to go with Android, but AT&T doesn't really have any good ones right now. The ones they do have are still running 2.1.

I don't follow any android news, but definitely will be starting here and now. Just as I've been doing at CrackBerry.com for years. However, can someone fill me in real quick and let me know if there is something coming for AT&T soon right around the corner?

What the rumored released dates? I am looking for a high end phone. I like what I see on the Samsung Infuse, but I don't see anyone talking about a release date. Should I not hold my breath? What other phone should I be waiting for?

Yeah. I don't understand why availability isn't released when the product is announced. Problem is, I'm using a cheap, crappy $20 GoPhone with my SIM on it until I get a new phone. I don't know how long I can wait.

Its the Atrix on AT&T olympus was the codename.

The Atrix is basically the best phone announced at CES, and this time around you're lucky if you're on AT&T (and due for a new device).

OK, I know there are not many android devices on ATT right now, but there are some great devices coming down the pipes. Hang tight and hopefully we will be getting some dates pretty soon for these devices.

I agree but it seem the main thing for Verizon will be the thunderbolt. I hope im wrong then again im hoping that AT&T will at least give us a peak at more of the 12 android devices promised to come to AT&T this year. Although a show stealer in the sense of it would be the announcement of iphone on verizon. I think that will just be huge note for verizon.

If you really need a phone now thats understandable and the best phone on ATT now would be whatever their version of the Galaxy S which is the Captivate I think. But try to hold on I believe they will be in a hurry to get CES devices out in order to balance out their smartphone lineup against Verizons upcoming iPhone. If it were me I would go with the Atrix unless you want to mess with rooting and custom roms in which case Motorola and the locked bootloader clould be a problem.
