I just dropped my Captivate, face down, on the concrete, and I was very afraid to even pick my phone up. It made a loud noise when it smacked the ground. When I picked it up, NOT A SCRATCH!!!!

Cool? It is hit or miss with the screen cracking. I have about some people having the same thing happen but it drops on the corner and cracks it all to hell. Just be glad you got lucky this time. I would also make sure you have a screen protector on just to keep your screen looking nice.
