It's unfair to say it's completely junk....it's does some things well, but overall as a device that I need to move as fast as I do, it's just not good.

Between work and life, I'm always on the go, using nav, camera, music, text etc. Unfortunately these things don't always work as good as they should.

I find it a huge slap in the face thatmy old iphone 5 was able to rub GOOGLE maps better than the most powerful android phone, and probably any phone out. The thing constantly lags, and half the times I'm missing turns because it didn't update in time...seriously?

Cameras are a huge part of smart phones for me. I take a lot of pictures of my dog, travel a lot, and just stuff I randomly see. The photos this phone takes are beautiful, but only if the lighting is perfect. My friends and I do a yearly snowboarding trip out west, and we're just recently in jackson hole. Everyone had iPhones but me. In great lighting I took some of the best pics, but the guts with 6's were close...but in low light, ny pictures were actually laughable compared to theirs. My camera also loves locking up when I open it, both google and stock camera, and will stay locked until I open up my running task and actually close it there.

Copy and paste? Terrible implementation of it, unless you wanna stop what your doing, use two hands and grab the s pen. Just plain dumb.

Now to be fair, there are A LOT of things I like about this phone. The screen is unreal, the camera is great at times...video recording is especially phenomenal, prob best on a smart phone. [redacted] capability changed my life lol. Battery is great. It's still an awesome phone, and does a ton of stuff my iphone didnt. However I feel things that they both do, things that are important to MY everyday use, the iphone did it better.

That's great. You are entitled to your own opinion. I used to have an iPhone 5 and had an iPhone every upgrade cycle since 2008. This phone does do some annoying things to me as well. The keyboard putting a random combination of letters for autocorrect is really annoying. When I write get and for some reason it wants to write "grt" that is really annoying. The camera lags for me as well sometimes which sucks. Other than that the only thing I miss is imessage.
My point.

As much as I love my Galaxy Notes I know they're not perfect in every way, no phone is. I will say, however, that for me the Note 4/Edge are two of the very best devices I've been fortunate enough to own.

from the✒ Note Pro 12.2 📒📡

Which one is it? :p

So basically, it's not the phone for you. Plenty of others to choose from, and from the sounds of it, the iPhone 6+ would suit you better.

I agree, just say that the note 4 doesn't fit your needs as well as the iphone. The iphone may just "work" better out of the box. Just like I use swiftkey for my keyboard. It has the best auto correct and word prediction I have ever uses. There is a little more work on any android phone for it to work at its best performance and each user has different needs as well. Both are great phones but each one gets to those results in different ways.

Lol...I started off a little angry. It's not a bad phone, junk is a harsh word. But for how damn powerful it is it has problems doing some really basic stuff.

It's interesting to me to see how 9 times out of 10, people hate a phone because it does things differently than they're used to. Yeah the copy and paste is different. It's not an iPhone. In my experience, all the apps you mentioned that have issues, I use them often as well and have not had the problems you've described.

At the end of the day, you've discovered you just prefer the way Apple implements things. That's cool. Go with Apple. The Note isn't junk though in any sense. This thing destroys the iPhone in almost every way, but that doesn't do you any good if you simply prefer the basic iPhone.

If you think the Note 4 is junk you're note using it correctly. Sounds like you belong in the i world.

I would agree with you on the gps. The iphone 6 plus I have is much better using the gps and google maps. I actually use the nokia here maps for offline navigation and it works much better for turn by turn in my opinion. I also think android is much more prone to a bad app that affects performance. I recently changed from my Verizon messaging app that was slow as crap, took forever to open and close to textra now phone is performing much faster last few days. Just little things like that, but that is more of and ios and android discussion.

If you don't mind telling me then...how can I "correctly" use a phone that lags on navigation? I mean I've tried clearing cache, restarting, etc...maybe you're implying I actually need to drive my car slower in order for the navigation to keep up?

I like using Waze for navigation. I haven't had problems with it. I don't use Gmaps, so I can't compare.

I've had no issues using navigation. In fact any time we travel my Note 4 is our go to for reliable navigation over my girl's iPhone 5s and 5c (one work, one personal). I think what may help in that regard is I'm still using Maps version 8.1.1 that comes default on the Note 4 (I refuse to update to newer versions that always have negative reviews. Wish I could actually go back further to 6.4.x version on my old Note 2, but that requires root). If you want to go back and try 8.1.1, uninstall updates to Maps (via settings, Applications, Application manager, find Maps and select "Uninstall updates").

This could be it, because when I first got this phone I don't remember it being like this.

You sir may just be my hero lol

Same has been happen to me for the last 3 months and I'm coming from Windows Phone, when I switched I feel like I downgraded my phone, everything taking multiple steps, because is the android OS not the Note 4, there's no perfect phone and you have to sacrifice good things from other platforms and enjoy some unique features from the Android Note 4.
There's a big list of things that bothers me a lot on android, I found absurd ways to do things and some other disadvantages, but I like the customization and multiple options, even with the things that I don't like I think my Note 4 is great

I switched from Windows Phone and I noticed this too, the android keyboard and all the keyboards that you can download are really bad on word predictions and autocorrect, no matter which one you install all of them on android sux and I have to deal with that everyday, even if I'm using SwiftKey.

i use gmaps every day, never lags on me. maybe there is an app conflicting with it ?

So go back to iphone where you are happy. I have the exact opposite experience. My Note takes better pics than the iPhone 6 and is incredibly fast. I have no lag what so ever. If I didn't know so many ppl with the note and hear what great experiences they have combined with reading all of the positives and the very few negatives on this forum I may have given you the benefit of the doubt. If you don't like it, go buy something inferior. Good bye.
