I'm suspicious that some updated app is killing batteries today.

Both my and my wife's phone had drastically reduced battery life today. We have quite a few apps so it's hard to tell what the culprit is but one of the apps that is common to both our phones is Whatsapp. IIRC, that app recently updated. Anyone else suffer severe battery depletion TODAY only?

UPDATE: I checked on Android market, and lo and behold, my first suspect, Whatsapp DID have an update on the 28th. Given that I get the auto updates sometime after that, chances are just about 100% that it updated on our two phones yesterday.

settings->battery & data manager - touch the large battery icon. It will list the apps that are using the battery the most since the last charge.

ah. I already deleted Whatsapp so I wonder if that's why it wouldn't show up in that screen that u mentioned? Scrabble Free is the number one item, at 43% followed by voice calls at 24%. however, I have scrabble set to auto close, and Scrabble isn't on my wife's phone. I play word games quite a bit lately and hadn't seen quite this reduction in battery life as I did today. Thank u for the reminder to check that list of battery users.
