I'm thinking of getting a Galaxy Watch - yes or no?

If you have a 130 quid discount voucher and can get a good price on the 46mm BT version I would go for it, you would have one of the best combinations when it comes to phone+watch and worst case scenario you can just sell the watch again without really taking a big hit financially if you don't like it

I am leaning more toward no as I excersize more as my health improves. Heart rate constantly stops and gives me a screen to reposition the watch for better heart rate. When I hike the woods I might as well just turn heart rate off. And it's the most needed function for me. It is fine around the house. Tried all the tricks. Resets, reboots, different watch faces, different bands, and many repositions. It seems it is fine if the watch never moves and you don't sweat. I may end up with a lower end Fitbit and give this one to Stanley Hammer.

Hi, I just using ticwatch pro for few days and I deeply disapointed with it. I have a few question so that I can make up my mine to change to galaxy watch 46mm once i sell off my TWP.

1) User able to set the auto time/ period for DND?

2)User able to set the time/ period for Airplane mode?

3) User able to set the time/ period for gesture motion to turn on the watch screen?

4) Alarm can set workday instead of need to trigger everyday

5) Do they have world time, chinese lunar calendar, calendar that able to sync with google apps at galaxy watch store

6) when start work out, the screen should always on so that user can track the progress without press on any it?button

THank you in advance

I've had my watch 24 hours. My initial reaction is that I made a good buy (FYI, there are many refurbs on the market for a very good price). It is perfectly sized for me-a pretty large dude-at 46mm. My beloved pathfinder is 47mm I believe. The watch has a nice heft, and the ring rotates nicely and it's functional.

I think it will take some time to use everything and set everything up, but that's cool.

As a replacement for my Garmin VivoHR+, which is about as visually appealing as a damned fitbit, I'm really happy with it.

The only snags thus far are the phone passing notifications to the watch for nothing-a chime goes off on the phone and nothing shows on the watch. I'm sure by limiting some of the notifications on the watch, this will go away over time.

The other snag is that the band for the watch is pretty small. The Garmin came in a regular and XL model, and the XL has a more-than-large-enough band whereas the Samsung's band feels pretty nice, but it way too small for me and I've had to order one from Amazon.

I have a Samsung Gear Sport and I love it. Works great for me and has great battery life (about 2.5 days before needing a charge). I like the Tizen OS much better than the Android Wear OS. I'm sure the Galaxy Watch is a good buy.

The Galaxy watch is on sale right now for $299 on Samsung's website. Unfortunately I bought it for $349 last week with my $130 e-certificate! If I only waited a week!

What a difference a day (or a week, whatever) makes...

At first the HR sensor was fine. Then after a day or two it stopped. Then it was daily. Today, I've restarted my watch 3 times because there were huge spikes that then turned into no sensor activity.

I made the decision to return it. I think I will find a deal on a Fenix5 and roll with that.

I was thinking of buy the Samsung watch. Do we know if a new one is coming out this year? I tried the Active and did not like its no sound.
