I'm trying to make the g3 work

But there are some small issues, screen coming on while in pocket or just carrying it, a little lag, and others, but here is something that makes the phone useless after initial charge.

That was using the charger that came with phone, says LG on it, was what I used last night to charge with and worked fine.

Happens sometimes. I've seen this on iPhones as well as my note 3. Usually uhh plugging it will sort it out. Hopefully your charger didn't go bad.

Your charger is bad like areyes163 said. Go back to where you got it and get it replaced and it should work fine.

How can charger be bad, works just fine on my note 3.

I've tried several times and again this morning after charging the note 3 with it and still same message.

This used to happen a lot on my HTC One. What would seem to be a perfectly fine charger wouldn't charge it but it would charge every other device in my house.

As suggested, I would bring it in and get a new one.

Nope, the cable and charger came out of the same box as the g3. It worked fine the first night.
