I have a BB Curve(which I love) and Pre. Would you advise ditching my Pre and Curve for a Hero? I posted an ad if anyone is interested in the Offtopic board. I have a 3g 8 gig iphone I could trade or a Pre for a Hero.

Well...this IS an HTC Hero forum..so yeah, I think you should switch over to Hero.

But honestly, I had a Pre before and I think that the Hero (which I now own) is MUCH quicker and faster in most cases. Of course, I do miss the Pre's multitasking capabilities, but Hero has multitasking as well, but just not as intuitive Pre obviously. Anyway, I would say go for a trade if you can. I love Hero and would probably not go back to the Pre.

I agree with spatel14. I was most amazed by the build quality of the Hero. It is top notch. The Hero is a excellent phone. While the Pre "cards" are a unique feature and are ...well...pretty awsome, I do not regret trading my Pre for the Hero in the least bit. Now if Seidio would get off their lazy a** and make a holster for it I would be one really happy camper.

ditto that!!! I am sick of silly pouches and leather cases!! Every phone i've ever had I demanded a holster! The Hero was the 1st phone I bought and there was no holster!! and still cant get one!

I've recently switched from a BB Curve to the HTC Hero. I'm still getting used to having no physical keyboard but it's been a pretty easy switch. There are so many more applications I find fun and useful for the Android system. I don't think you will be disappointed if you switch for a Hero. :)
