Images / videos disappear after few days?

Hi.

Does anyone have the problem of having your pictures and videos disappearing after few days?
I saw Auto cleanup function was on, so I turned it off in Storage Cleaner's setting.

Is there anything else I'm missing here to address the issue (except bug or that sort of stuff) and
(If my assumption is correct) Is there an option to exclude pictures from the auto clean up?

I've had already three times my pics disappeared and I'd really appreciate your help.

Welcome to Android Central! Are they saving to Internal Storage or the microSD card? Have you checked the actual /DCIM/Camera directory (using a file manager app) to see if the photo files are still there, or are you only using a Gallery app to look?

Thanks for your reply and sorry for my late one.
Yes, I've checked using other app (ES File explorer) but all pix and videos were gone.
But ever since I stopped using "Phone manager" the issue hasn't been occurred.
Hasn't understood how to change setting not to delete image/ video while clean up, though...

Hopefully that keeps the problem away! I never trust these manufacturer-installed "phone manager" or "phone optimizer" apps. They're often based on or similar to Clean Master, which is notorious for causing more problems than it claims to solve.
