I have just purchased a Nexus 4 and am very happy with it. I think my request is simple, but I cannot find any free solutions that work on the www. Is there a way to import the contacts on my BlackBerry Curve 9300 to my N4? I have tried using BB Desktop Software, also Bluetooth with no joy. I am constantly being directed to Phone Miner and similar programmes, but 30 bucks seems a lot for a once only transfer of data. Can somebody help or advise me please? Thank you.

Hi Guys, thank you for your responses. I have tried all your suggestions............................with no joy! My BlackBerry 9300 has BlackBerry 6.0. My Nexus 4 is new. Please can someone help me? Thank you

Are your contacts anywhere else other than the BB9300? Such as Outlook or Gmail?

Sent from my SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 2

Yes they are 'backed up' on my PC using the Blackberry Desktop Software. Thanks for your assistance. Colin K

I had the same issue importing from BB to Sony Xperia Z1...

The way it worked for me:

Backed up data to desktop with BB Desktop Manager
Imported backup file in PhoneMiner - I bought the version for €22 online, and it does what it promises, I've used it since for my daughters' iPhone and my wifes Lumia too.
Exported to CSV file from PhoneMiner
Created an empty Gmail account
Created 1 contact in Gmail and exported it to CSV to find out the layout
With some trial and error adjusted my exported BB file from PhoneMiner to the layout of the CSV from within Gmail
Once the file had the right syntax, synced my Z1 with the Gmail account
Result, after all that, was perfect.

Hope it helps!
Marc

All you need is inTouchApp! Just install on your Blackberry and your Nexus 4 and login - thats it! No settings, no technical knowledge - it just works like magic! Search for app on the App World (Blackberry) and Play Store (Android) or visit IntouchApp: Apps and Plugins

And yes, the app is free & keeps your contacts safe so you never lose them and never have any hassles transferring them to another device!
