I am currently running aosp's 2.3.3 and I am only able to get 11 hours of battery life with it from a full charge.
Aside from reducing the brightness and turning off the sync feature (as I dearly need it for Google Voice), what are some ways to improve battery life?
Thanks in advance.

I found juice defender to be very good at helping conserve battery life, i would give it a try if i were you.

Airplane mode in area's without signal
Turn wifi off when not using
Limit the amount of apps you have auto updating. (the only thing auto updated on my phone is weather, every 8 hours)
Don't use task killers. (just makes your phone close and reopen apps alot)

Juice Defender can be helpful if used correctly, but whatever you do, do NOT install a task killer!

Turn your wifi off when you are not using it, as it is the main drain in CM7.

A quick swipe down to open the notification bar, then you can use the Power Widget inside to toggle wifi, 3g, screen brightness, etc. Makes it easy to maintain your battery life.

Also, use the CPU settings (under performance) to set your CPU clock speed's min value to something close to 600mhz. MMARZ has done extensive testing on battery use, and his results show why you should not set your min CPU clock speed low.

If you are wondering about the task killers, or setCPU, do searches in these forums, there is alot of info.
