I have been a note user sine Note 8. Now have the 10plus but really struggling with the in call volume. Though i have set it to maximum the in call volume is very low. I have made sure of all the settings possible but to no avail.

Is this a common problem everyone is facing? My phone is less than 28 days old so Samsung have agreed to replace it but not sure if anyone else is facing the same issue?

For me, the volume is enough. The problem as I see it, is the position of the upper speaker, which falls under the protective case. The case has a small opening, but the sound still goes upward and not straight into your ear. I also had the Note 8 and I can agree with you it was far better from the overall sound point of view.

Me too. Almost impossible to hear what the other person is saying.

thats why i have been either using a bluetooth headset or loudspeaker...

The earpiece is not in the usual location.
If you use the phone without a headset or speakerphone, just lower the top of the phone to your ear.

The volume isn't low. You just have to position your phone correctly/differently on your ear.

Place your phone a little forward and downward on your ear.

That's not the way we're used to holding our phones to our ears but for me I've gotten use to the position.
I hope this helps.

That's the most absurd thing lmao....you are literally giving direction on how to listen to the phone. It's not rocket science. The volume is pretty low compared to the note 8/9.

It's not completely absurd. For years people have gotten used to the earpiece being lower in the bezel area of a phone. Now that phones have virtually no bezels, the earpiece is actually at the very top of the phone. I still find it a little quiet, but retraining where I position my phone in relation to my ear did help a little.

I am so glad I'm not the only one. I have a difficult time hearing the other person during a call and was hesitant to post anything. I figured it was just my device or some setting. I find myself constantly pressing the volume up button during a call.

That was exactly the point.

The first time I used my phone without I headset I was very upset with the volume. After realizing I needed to reposition the phone I've had no other issues.
