in-car charger put galaxy nexus in flight mode

so i went out a picked up a duel usb charger today "not oem" and micro usb cable for the car as the
battery life on the nexus sucks
so i plugged it in and started charging whoo cool nice cheap upgrade.... well sort of, problem being
its now putting my phone into the flight mode and im unable to make calls or receive

has anyone else had this issue or is just me be a tight ass and should purchase the oem products

I've never had this problem. I have used USB wires for LG's, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, some generic ones from Ebay. I also have a two outlet USB plug for the cig lighter in the car.

I have the same problem with mine. Every time I plug it in to my usb socket in my car it goes into flight mode. Anyone know why?
