Incorrect time in text messages!

Hello Can anyone tell me how to fix the time setting in text messages! It's very frustrating when I send a text my time is correct! but when they return the text they're 5 hours ahead of me!!...So if I miss a text until a later time,..I cant tell what time it came in? Is it new? yes I know I can just do the math But I shouldnt have too!!
And also I wish it would thread the messages together as the conversation is taking place! like he said,she said instead of mine clear up on top! and theirs all at the bottom!
My 30 days days is not up yet to return this damn phone and go back to a Blackberry
Where everything works properly! NOT TO MENTION the very screwed up Facebook app for this darn phone! I'm REALLY trying to like this phone, but it is more challenging everyday!
And to save you time! it'snot a time zone thing! the person I text the most is on the same time zone I am! and it wouldn't be 5 hours difference anywhere from me because I am on Central time!

Download Handcent from the Market it will fix all these issues and thread messages!

Oh by the way the native app on my phone does the time change thing when it is roaming maybe that's whats causing that issue?

Yeah, this happens every time I receive a text message while roaming. It's annoying.

Ok I have that downloaded and I'm using it but now I get the text on the app and the native! so 2 alerts it's a little annoying haha lol what can i do about that!??

go to the native app. hit menu, settings, scroll down to received notification and uncheck it.

hello hello! ive been having the same problem and i cant tell you how annoying it is! ive tried d.l the handcent app unfor it is no long ava on the market, are there anyother apps you could suggest? plzzz i need help.
