Guys/gals,

Big fan of all things android and I lurk here nearly every day. I work at Vzw and always lead with android.

I have searched repeatedly with no solid answers (partially bc of volume of related topics and key words). I mean how do you search for google apps for business? lol its very difficult to filter through all the relevant hits.

I have an appointment tomorrow with an existing customer having difficulty syncing his google apps for business server with his htc incredible.

I am thinking I just need his email server info which he will bring on his authenticated computer.

Just in case and to pull from the vast body of knowledge here at AC I will ask if anyone has had any experience with Incredible/android sync with google apps/enterprise and what info is needed.

Thanks in advance and i will mail a beer to anyone with the answer ;)

I use Google apps for my personal domain, coming off running an Exchange server from my home, and the setup should be no different for a larger organization using google apps. It can be done using IMAP (if enabled for the organization) or using the Gmail application, which I do. The account is added as a Google account, but instead of using <username>@gmail.com it uses the person's full email address for the organization (say, bob [at] stanleycorp.com). That's really all there is to it. Gmail, calendar, and contact syncing works exactly as with a standard Gmail account. The only thing that doesn't work is Chrome to phone which, for some reason, is not compatible with Google apps accounts yet. I'm not sure if it's necessary for access from the phone but perhaps check that IMAP is enabled under his account. Mine is but I use that to access my account from my computer.
