Incredible Bluetooth Issues

I have a rooted Incredible that I love. I have always had issues with connecting to several vehicle's hands free devices. It would connect but the address book would never download. Now, I bought a new Mini Cooper. It has a fantastic integrated system that allows smart phones to play Pandora via blue tooth as well as hands free. With my Incredible, I can't connect. It does so for a few seconds and then disconnects. I tried my wife's Motorola Droid and it worked perfectly. I just ordered a Motorola Droid X but would rather use my Incredible. I did some googling and found many persons with this issue. They mention HTC's blue tooth stack but don't say if there is an update or it can be changed. Any help is appreciated.

Seems that the bluetooth stack in Sense is incomplete. Apparently there is a rom with a fixed bluetooth (Cyanogenmod) but currently there is no way to fix the stock HTC sense bluetooth. Here is a thread about it...
