Hey All,
I've had my Droid Incredible for about a week, and just now thought to try Bluetooth (pair with a Plantronics headset). So, I already had the Power Control widget on one of my screens, and went to enable Bluetooth like I had done so many times before on my Motorola Droid. I touch the Bluetooth button, and it says "Turn on Bluetooth." The button stays dim green for 45 seconds then turns off. Bluetooth is not ON!
So I thought that maybe there was an issue with Power Control...I tried to enable Bluetooth in Settings > Wireless & networks. No dice, still won't turn on. So after awhile of playing with it, I turned on Wifi with Power Control. I just happened to accidentally touch the Bluetooth icon while Wifi was enabled, and it worked! I've tested this in Power Control and in Settings, Wifi has to be enabled for me to be able to enable Bluetooth. It will not turn on if Wifi is off. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal? I looked in the manual and it doesn't seem like it requires Wifi to work. It seems when I had my Motorola Droid, I could enable Bluetooth with Wifi off.
Is my device defective? Thanks,
F.
