IndexService eating up more battery than my screen!

Worst part is you can't disable or get rid of it! Now my beloved SNP wont last me the whole day and is about ready to die by lunch!

Turn the tab off. Boot into recovery. Clear the system cache (NOT factory reset). See if that helps.

Power off. Boot in recovery mode by pressing and holding Volume Up, Power Button and Home Button at the same time. Release all buttons when the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 screen flickers and in a few seconds the Recovery screen will appear.

I had this happen to me recently when I copied a bunch of huge PDF files to my microSD card. I ended up not needing them so I took them off but the tablet was definitely having trouble indexing them.
