aside from the airave, are any of you here using a repeater or wireless booster with the EVO ????

i would sure like to get one asap, as my indoor signal in my home is poor....

I bought a Sprint airave and found it needed to be activated.....Again this is not an option for me, would like to try one of the signal repaters, just don't know a good brand and what frequency works with the HTC EVO CDMA phone

If you have bad signal at home, call sprint and complain. If you are compelling enough there is a good chance they will give u a airwave for free including the monthly charge. Just mention you are thinking of canceling your service because u cant get calls at home.

I've tried many of the popular signal boosters/enhancers that are available on the market and honestly the Airave (in my experience) has been the best. Its not only reasonably priced (even with the monthly charge) but it works the best as well.

I've used a Wilson booster as well as Spotwave and while they work I find the Airave to be a better option. The Spotwave is designed to use signal in a good area and transmit to where you are having trouble. This requires you to find a "good" spot, mount the receiving antenna (not sure if that what its called) then run the wire to the area you are signal issues. This worked ok for me but it really depends on your personal setup. If you have poor signal in the majority of your house (or where you are trying to use the phone) the Spotwave doesn't actually boost the signal. It seems to be designed to just carry the signal from a good spot to the area you are having trouble with.

The Wilson products work as well but again require some wiring and they aren't cheap.

With this said the Airave (to me) is worth the money. Its easy to setup and offers better signal for a wider area.

Hopefully my rambling helps here.

why isn't airave an option. i was able to get one for free and no monthly charge. works great

airwave works great for me, just call customer service and get to tech support, tell them that customer service approved an airwave for you but had to transfer you to tech support for final shipment, and that you got disconnected both times trying to get to them, worked like a charm for me. havent dropped a call at home since i got it

good luck
