I gambled and picked up one of the cheapy EVO 3D docks on ebay for approximately $18 shipped.

I've got this dock now and have been playing with it. I've just posted a quick review of it on YT:
HTC EVO 3D generic charging cradle - YouTube

Here's the model (and seller) I purchased from:
NJ3 USB Cradle Charger Dock For HTC Sprint EVO 3D | eBay

Let me know if you have questions the video didn't answer.

I also purchased the official HTC charger, but haven't unboxed it yet. Will probably do so tomorrow and make a video comparing/contrasting the two docks.

Looks good. Is there anyway you could measure the gap between the phone back and the cradle when docked? I am trying to figure out if this could work with an extended life battery. So far the only one I know that will is the Seido one, but this one looks better. Thanks for posting this.

Yes, it's good 3mm from the back of the phone.

Also, like I said in the video, there's also a bit of flex or give in multiple directions because the only thing holding the phone in its position is the microUSB connection. So, you might be able to fit in an extended battery, depending of course how much it adds to the back of the phone.

That sounds concerning that it may "loosen" the jack on the phone over time. Please take note to that when you do your reviews/comparisons. Thank you.

Looks like it might be a nice fit for my Seidio Active case with the extra space at the back.
