Looking for an inexpensive Android phone on T-Mo for a friend. Suggestions? I see that I can get a GS3 for about $150. Is that my best bet? How is the Galaxy Light? L90?

Wait for the new moto g lte that was just announced. Only $179 brand new and better than the g3 plus you're guaranteed the next version of android.

That's tempting too. It looks like the original Moto G didn't have a MicroSD card slot but the new one, and the Moto G 4G, do?

The original Moto G was an international GSM model, so you'd be limited to 2g in many T-Mobile markets, as I understand it.
Wrong. The original also came in a US GSM model that used all 3G bands of AT&T and T-Mobile.

The original Moto G (non-LTE) does come in a model compatible with T-Mobile bands, but you have to be careful that you get the US version if you're trying to buy it used.
Ah. It originally did not, apparently, and later it did? Last I looked, which was a while ago, I guess, there was no "U.S." version.

Thanks for the correction.

There's always been a US and Global version, but the LTE version is newer.

The L90 is a really nice little phone. I like it almost as much as my g2.

I paid 91 bucks for my phone at wal mart. The only con I have is no front cam.

I recommend an lte moto g. It's the same as the hspa version just with lte which can make a difference.

I have the L90 as well. Great phone. For under a 100 bucks you get a nice phone with a decent camera and 4.4.2 kitkat right out the box with a 4.7 inch screen. Only thing is it doesn't have lte speed but 4g speed is great as well. But like others say if you have more money to spend then in that category the moto G for 179 is better as well. Just all depends on your budget range.
