Android Lollipop 5.1 to Be Released For Latest Nexus Devices, Many Devices to Be Presently Deprived! | Master Herald

Most of the Android users, with 2014 flagship handsets like the Note 4, HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5 are yet to experience the Android Lollipop 5.0 update on their devices. On the other hand, if the rumors are true, Google is all geared up to launch the enhanced version of the highly-recommended mobile Operating System within a matter of a few months.

These speculations were released from AndroidPIT (via TechRadar) through a published exclusive. It was supposed to provide details on the launch date of Android Lollipop 5.1, the update’s change log which includes various bug fixes, improvement of various features along with changes to the Material Design’s Color scheme.

There is a list of improvements that the Nexus 6 and 9 owners can expect by early spring 2015. The Silent mode is now available after missing out on the Android 5.0. There are also many general improvements in the system ability along with improved RAM management and fixes for random app closures. We can also look forward to enhanced battery management which should be a life-saver for all. There were several issues with wireless connections earlier, and they have all been fixed with the Android Lollipop 5.1 update.

The existing problems with the OK Google function have also been solved. Notification issues and sound problems experienced by various devices have also been fixed. Earlier, when Wi-Fi was used, users experienced excessive consumption of network devices, which have also been solved.

However, how long will it take for the updated Android Lollipop 5.1 version to be made available on other devices around the world? Rolling out a completely new version over-the-air requires the permission of many partners through the whole supply chain. This includes the handset manufacturer, Google as well as the carrier, to be in mutual agreement.

Android Lollipop 5.1

Most of the manufacturers have confirmed the devices, which will witness the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Even then, it seems like most devices will be left out from experiencing the v5.0 update until Q1 2015. Samsung is the largest manufacturer of Google-certified Android devices in terms of sales.

They just started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for select devices, last week and even then they are limited to a single territory. According to popular belief, the Android Lollipop 5.1 release along with its critical bug fixes will not find their way to maximum devices until June or July of 2015.
