- Transfer from 8 Pro to 9 Pro XL was flawless. I had a physical SIMM in the 8, even transferred that to an eSIMM in the 9. Hint, use the cable rather than rely on wireless. I had a sh!t ton of pics and music, more than a couple hundred apps - didn't time it 'cause I was doing some other work, but I think it took around a half hour, maybe a little longer. Most settings and preferences copied over seamlesslly.
- Underwhelmed by the fingerprint sensor. Tried it first with some Omoton ones that I've been using for years with no issues. Took that off and re-enrolled my prints with the one from the Google Store. Took a WHILE to register a few fingers - kept prompting me to press harder... many tries for each position. Seems to work reasonably well after all enrolled, but doesn't seem any better than the optical on my old 8. (nostalgic about the days of the rear sensor which was perfect). I'm using face unlock which seems OK, with prints as a backup.
- The "hazel" color my lady called grey. It's pretty much that with just a hint of greeen.
- I miss the weather frog, LOL.
- Using a Nova backup, it looks exactlyi like my 8 - which suits me just fine
- Accubattery showed 99% against design capacity after a full charge overnight so that's good, and close.
- Display is crisp and bright. Interestingly, when I have my polarized sunglasses on in the car the screen has a strange green tint!
- Bluetooth pairing to multiple devices including my Pixel 2 watch with Fitbit software was automatic.
