Innocase Rugged for EVO up for order NOW!!

Yeah, it's kinda like putting the limited edition active case over the innocase surface...., but we'll see...

I like it, gives you options. When your at home or doing something casual just the Innocase II. When you're at work, depending on your proffesion, put the extra layers on. Looks good IMO too.

I need it. I work at a hospital... I think I'd use it all the time though. Can't be too careful. With the skin on the phone the speaker is covered. Doubt it'll muffle it much. I was thinking I'd mod the cut out to only cover the camera....

Ewww ew ew ew

The phone is big enough as it is. If I wanted a tank to use everyday I would just sign up for the army! :p

$50?! are you kidding me?

I thought I could live with just a leather case to put the phone into also, but here are my issues:

HTC Leather Pouch - while it fits nice, you can't use headphones with it
No case on phone - don't want to do that because I don't want to scratch up the camera lens.

So my temporary solution was a Body Glove Universal case into which the Evo BARELY fits, it's a bit of a pain to get it out to answer a call. So then I bought the Body Glove plastic case from Sprint, that thing looked good on pics, but I don't like the feel of it, and the top part of cover is extremely thin by the volume switches, and that's pretty much the area that you grab when you pick up the phone. So that thing has to go back to Sprint.

My final solution will be the Seidio Innocase II Surface and the bigger leather case along with it. Seidio has a combo for the two that is 10 bucks cheaper than buying the separately, but the leather case is not available yet, according to them, they are still designing it... and it won't available for a few weeks. So I bit the bullet and bought the Innocase II by itself, and will order the leather case when it becomes available.

That rugged thing is just too much for me, I work on computers, not on tractors! lol ;)

And not to mention that absurd price. Pass... until now the only case I'd consider is the Platinum case.

This case is meant for those who would like more protection than what the Innocase II Surface offers, yet do not need the full ruggedness of a Innocase Active all the time. Those who get the Innocase Rugged will have the option of peeling off the "rugged" part of the case when they do not need it.

This rugged case also fixes 2 main complaints that I hear from people about the active: One is that the Active does not offer any protection for the camera (this case has a flap according to the pictures). Another is that the Active does not work with a holster.

I bet this case is going to be a big hit. I think the premium is justified since you are technically getting 2 cases + 1 holster in a streamlined package. If you do not need the extra ruggedness (or price) then I think Seidio will expect you to look more into the Innocase II Surface instead.

thats one sexy beast! im digging the cam cover. im a teamster and on the job site crap happens! you need max protection! i know its not for everyone but it is a rugged case if you do not need rugged then its not for you, it will not match your murse

I think I will be getting this. I was waiting to see what Otterbox would come up with, but this looks to give much more protection than any Otterbox case I've seen. $50 does sound a little steep...but when you consider that you are getting 2 separate cases, a holster, and a screen protector, I think it's actually a pretty good deal. I'm sure there are quite a few people here on the forum that have already spent well over $50 on cases and screen protectors.

I still would of liked a built in screen protector but am guessing that the capacitive buttons won't work with one.
Good job with the camera protection although the speaker is covered.
I do wonder if you can use the holster with just one of the cases on or do you need both cases on?

plus, this thing is perfect for those of us that wear Duty Belts on the job. The standard holster isn't wide enough to stay on your belt, this model fits perfectly and won't fall off. Plus, with all the rolling around and running, I need all the protection I can get!!!

I believe you're right on everything but the screen protector. It doesn't come with a screen protector :P

Edit: I'm wrong

according to the website it does.

Whao, what the heck. According to Seidio who posted a response somewhere, there is none. I'll try to dig it up if I remember correctly.

Edit: Found it! http://androidforums.com/accessorie...e-rugged-holster-combo-evo-4g.html#post886369

Although you're still right, since I guess SeidioSeidio was just saying it won't come with just the case. Although the non-combo isn't even listed on their site yet so I'm not sure why Seidio would say that.
