my phone is just a month old and i did test it in water. there's no problem as such, but i was wondering what that was. it can't be the hydrophobic coating can it?

Thanks for the reply. Hmm. I thought so but the thing is I just put it under tap water. It doesn't taste salty to me. And something tells me it was there since I bought it. At first I thought it's the special coating they put to repel water. Our could it be air. And it's it true that oxidation keeps getting worse?

Welcome as a new member. :)

I'm not actually familiar with that device so for all I know it could be something protective. Try asking around in the Z3 forum and see whether any other owners have encountered it.
It's just that I'm thinking water, electric current, corrosion....
