Inspire Dialer Trick (From HTC Vivid)

People on Phonedog's post about the dialer trick for the HTC Vivid ICS update say that they tried it on their Inspire's, Here are some of the comments:

"I did this to my inspire 4G and it told me I had an update for the kernel version, so this code seems to work universally lol."

"It also worked for my inspire 4G. But when I look is software info it says a bunch of numbers and release keys. Wat does release keys mean"


Has anyone tried this, what does it do? You dial *#*#682#*#* and something should start downloading. Someone try this!

It works in htc inspire which installs update. I also installed software update via this dialing code. and now, phone software is 2.3.5 with htc sense 3.0 .... But now I want to downgrade it because current software has many issues like it do not connect to computer and it do receives 3G signals when I am present in a 3G coverage area. It always show Edge signals...
