Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have an LG Optimus G through Sprint, android 4.1.2. My issue is trying to take a video on instagram to post it. After I take the 15 second video and hit the "next" button, nothing happens, in other words, the video cannot be uploaded/filtered etc. I noticed also that if I try to upload a video from my phone, the video must be .mpeg in order to work. Any video that has the extension 3gp, instagram does not support it.
My question is, it seems the phone automatically saves the file as a 3gp. Is there a way to change this setting to save it as mpeg instead? I think this is the issue behind instagram not working on android devices. I have looked everywhere on google but I can't seem to find the right answer. Thank you for the help!!

Root your phone install a good file manager and you should be able to change the extension through there root might not be necessary always but I'm always rooted from day one pretty much so try it without root then if can't go download framaroot and freegee and root and unlock your phone these are both apps so the whole process can be done from your phone no computer needed just a decent charge on your battery hope this helps...

Sent from the beast that is the OG on 4.3.1 clocked at 1.89ghz on the best kernel ever written!
