I use ROM Manager and just flash it over, like I would a rom. Wiping isn't even necessary. It probably isn't even possible to remove a kernal before installing another one, since the phone wouldn't run in that scenerio.

You dont need to remove anything just flash that as you would anything else it will write itself over the other kernel...

I usually do.

Do you know if this Kernal will work on Baked Snack 1.8?

If its Written from the Sense Source your fine...

If your on CM6 or something youre gonna want to use a ASOP Based Kernel like Snap...

You should be fine to answer your question...

Alright, now I installed that Kernal, how do I know where to set the overclocking at? I want to get the most out of my phone.

You need SetCPU to adjust anything...

Either Buy it on the market or find the Devs thread on XDA...

Yeah, I have that, just not sure where to put the settings, if I go to high, my phone freezes.

Ur not suppose to go all out dude... Not every Evo is created equal...

My Evo will run 1.22 yours won't and vice versa

1.19 is usually stable try that

Alright, I have the CPU icon running, I got the max up to 119, what should I put the minimum to?

Help please

Im new to rooting and I just rooted with Unrevoked and I was wondering if someone can please help figure things out. I was wondering if I would have to flash a ROM first then a kernel so that i can overclock my phone. Or can i just flash a kernel onto my phone. Also can I use ROM manager to flash a kernel on to my phone.

You can do them both at the same time, when you install the ROM, let that finish and when it's done, just install another zip from sdcard, and install the kernal. Once you reboot, it will be all done.
