My wife's Inspire is giving her an insufficient space indication on her notification bar (the little hard drive icon). She's moved all she can to SD, she's minimized her saved stuff and she's got almost 90 MB left internal, 7.4 GB on the card. Anybody got any clues?

Something doesn't sound right. The phone comes with just over one gig of memory that is user available, so obviously shows as having lots of data on internal memory. The SD card starts at 7.4 gigs of user memory available. By default, the phone stores pics on the SD card and if she moved her apps to the SD card, there is no way that the card would still be at 7.4 gigs available. Either the phone is not using the card at all or it is reporting wrong. Have you tried connecting the phone to PC in disk drive mode and checking to see what explorer reports for the card? Have you may end up needing to do a factory reset.

I'm thinking we do the gingerbread update from the website, hardwired, so that it forces a reset in the process. Thoughts?

The one bet we missed was clearing data from her most used apps. Basically, it was a matter of going in to things like her facebook app and hitting Clear Data. Worked like a charm. Thanks for all your help and I welcome any more ideas to prevent this from happening again.
