insurance on used phone

I just got a used phone on craigs list it was really cheap it works good except the speaker seems to be blown I was wondering if verizon would let me put insurance on it?

No... the phone needs to be new and purchased from Verizon or a Verizon retailer. You can only add insurance when first activating the phone.
