Intentional Throttle

Could it be possible that Sprint is intentionally throttling those of us that are using the SG2? The reason I ask is because this phone has browser performance as a low end smart phone. I can't get beyond 180k in speeds and its taking the FB application and web pages upwards of 45 seconds to full refresh and upload. I've updated the PRL and battery pulls and it doesn't seem to help at all. The phones i've owned are the EVO, EVO 3d, Photon and this one. Even my Pre loads pages and FB faster. At of all the phones the Photon blew the others away and Im basically at home and at work and the speeds are horrendous.. Its like dial up!!!

It's all the GS2 users who are sucking up the bandwidth. Damn you guys! ;)

But seriously no. My Pre was just as slow to load webpages.

Try calling and have them check some settings in your phone to make sure everything is running right. I think there is a thread on this as well.

Also, there is a PRL update out for the GS2 E4GT that was sent out today.

Honestly I think its just Sprint working on its network (or not working on it as the case may be). If you look at Phonedogs reviews all their sprint phones have sucked on 3G speeds lately. I'm getting similar speeds to my Pre

Is this offical from Sprint? Every time I try and update PRL from the phone I get an "Unknown Error."

Edit: Nevermind, guess I need to learn to troubleshoot before I complain. Turned the phone off, turned WiFi and connected to my 4G and it updated no problem. We'll see on the commute tomorrow how it helps.
