Interaction Control with YouTube

I recently figured out how to use the Interaction Control feature that makes the screen and buttons non functional until turned off. Very cool feature and thought it would be great to put on a YouTube video for my daughter and she couldn't stop or exit the video. Only problem is whenever I attempt to turn it on, it pauses the video then obviously with the screen inactive you can't start it again. Anybody else use this function and see the same issue? Any work around?
