Interested In Gently Used V40

Hey there fellow Android lovers. I love to take pictures with my phones and therefore purchase devices that have good cameras. I currently have a Note 9 with the Pixel 3 camera software ported to it as well as an LG V20 with the same set up. I should be all set but I've been eyeballing that 5 camera set up on a "gently used" T-mobile V 40 that is being sold for the mid $400s. Is it worth it? Have software updates straightened out the camera issues reported after launch?

Is it worth it?

That's very subjective to the individual, personally a waste of money in my eyes. You already have arguably the best 2 phone cameras available, and even if the LG were better it's still a waste compared to an actual camera in my eyes.

I've no right to tell someone how to spend their money, so if you simply like to play around with the phones and cameras and would enjoy doing so, then do it.

Well thanks for your reply. I'm really more interested in the video and audio features that the V40 offers rather than the snap cameras. I really like some of those special effects available through the video recorder and if the audio is better than the Quad DAC of my V20 that would put me in headphone heaven.

no... not worth it for the camera if you already have a note 9... if you can't shoot with the note 9, there's nothing in the v40 that will dramatically increase your photos

I have both the Note 9 and V40. there are pros and cons to both. overall I like the color temp and saturation as well as the wide angle on the V40 . the Note 9 is sharper, quicker shutter(most of the time). with that said I agree the v40 isn't better overall, just different.

The audio isn't going to be that much better than the V20 but self proclaimed audiophiles might argue that point.
