Interesting article on Mag-safe and S24U's SPen

Personally I have questioned the whole idea of having magnets anywhere near certain electronics. The two generally do not play well together.
Thing is, technology is often full of the mysterious little buggers. Z flips, Z folds (probably your Open, too) along with tablets and laptops have them embedded under the screen itself or in their wrist rests. if the roughly 26,000 magnets that Samsung embed into a Tab S9 aren't an issue, I don't see why a case should be.

I think a lot of us who are 35+ may have a bit of residual wariness around magnets because we 'member what happened if we put one (like a landline phone) near a CRT TV or our box of floppies lol.

I remember my father having a magnet ring (about the size of a dinner plate if I remember correctly) that he'd use on the TV screen to get the colors back in the right spot. quite the voodoo, I'll assure you.

Seems the main issue is when you have an attachment to it. So I should be fine. The only magsafe thing I use is the charger at work so I can Netflix an work lol.

Funny you mention the ring. Back in the late 60's and early 70's I used to work a a Magnavox dealer and we used them with each delivery we made. It was the last thing we did. In later years I used a VHS tape demagnetizer to do it my self on my TV's

That reminds me, my wife is still using a crt monitor, I probably should give it a degaussing lol. The last of the old tech 😉

I carried a couple of 60-inch CRTs up a few flights of stairs once.. let's just say I do not miss the technology lol
Ever had to carry one of the old Sony Trinitron tv sets? Probably not much different from what you referenced. Those were so freaking front heavy. Hilarious watching someone who didn't know better trying to lift one from behind.
