I have some interesting battery info, when I got my EVO I had planned on getting a second battery (I got an oem HTC battery) and I bought a Seidio desk top charger that charges just the battery and the phone through the usb, welp I discovered that when I charge just the battery on the Seidio charger, that battery last signifigantly longer, for example the battery will show 100% for approximately 1hr or more where as the battery charged in the phone via the htc charger last much less, upon start up the battery will lose 5% within 10minutes. I dont know what gives but this is what Im discovering.

maybe it just your battery stats differing between your batteries? i dunno.

Probably related to the instructions on charging, then powering down the phone and connecting the charger again until the light changes...

its not a difference in batteries, both batteries have the same characteristics after being charged on the Seidio desktop charger and the same characteristics after being charged through the phone.

This is exactly what it is, and i confirmed it yesterday. The phone DOES NOT charge completely when just left on the charger and it goes green. you HAVE TO then unplug it, turn the phone off, then plug it back in. the charge light will go back to red until fully charged, Once it goes green while turned off it is then FULLY CHARGED.

I would not want my phone off for any period of time just to get more charge but I have noticed that if I unplug the phone after it is green then wait a minute and return it to the charger it does charge up more and hold better.

I shut the phone down while charhing, so not sure if that applies here

that doesnt matter, you have to charge it full, WHILE ON. Unplug it, turn it off, then plug it back in to charge it full, WHILE OFF.

I am conducting a series of test today to provide the best performance through charging. I should have an update today or later tomorrow.

wow, so you mean I would have to leave the phone on while I charged it through the night while I sleep, get up, unplug it, turn off, plug back in to charge? ummmm no I wont be doing all that lol
