Great thread topic!

I'm a big fan of The Expanse, so I love listening to the podcast Ty and That Guy, from one of the writers (Ty Franck, half of the James S.A. Corey pen name) and stars (Wes Chatham, who played Amos). It started as a recap of each episode, but after they finished all 6 seasons (twice), their episodes focus more on their favorite movies and TV shows, with an emphasis on sci-fi/fantasy, horror, and action.

My other go-to podcast when I'm driving is The Moth, which is all about storytelling. People from all walks of life (anywhere from celebrities to regular schmoes like you and me) tell personal stories that are hilarious, heartwarming, tragic, and always interesting.

Mostly Science, History and Sport genres. Definitely not pseudo-science, fake history nor dystopian dramas.

Thanks for sharing those 'go-to' faves of yours, @B. Diddy ! 🙂 I guess I haven't listened to any perpetual/ongoing types of podcasts, so I'll have to ✔️ them out. 😉

Not a podcast, but a very great radio program, I was a long-time fan of 'A Prairie Home Companion' ... that ...."aired on Saturdays from the Fitzgerald Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota;" .... and really miss it! 😕

I think I started listening to it in the early 80's thru or to 2016 when it ended. As I tried to catch the 2 hr old-timey radio variety show whenever possible, e.g. – with a Walkman radio if working outside, or in a barn or garage/shop, or even if I was out hunting or fishing (as I was most weekends of each year, until my first wife finally and rightly divorced my not-ready-to-be-married behind). 🙄

Then in 2009, I realized I could record the 2-hr broadcast on the TuneIn app on my iPhone 3G ! 🙂 Or listen to a re-broadcast on a multitude of America Public Media or PRX or similarly affiliated stations across the U. S. at different times on Sat evenings or Sundays. 😎

No matter what was going on, or perhaps how bad or stressful your day or weekend had gone, there was always . . . A Prairie Home Companion . . 😎. . for some great music & laughs.

"~ The show is [was] known for its musical guests, especially folk and traditional musicians, tongue-in-cheek radio drama, and relaxed humor. Keillor's wry storytelling segment, "News from Lake Wobegon," was the show's best-known feature during his long tenure."
" Distributed by Minnesota Public Radio's distribution arm, American Public Media, A Prairie Home Companion was heard on 690 public radio stations in the United States at its peak in spring 2015 and reached an audience of four million U.S. listeners each week. ~ It inspired a 2006 film of the same name, written by and featuring Keillor."

Listen to Who Killed JFK? with @TuneIn http://tun.in/puHJ6

EDIT: . . It's very poorly done, bordering on terrible. 🙄 With Soledad O'Brien feigning ignorance about all JFK conspiracy theories from the start; claiming to have only been approached to join and host the podcast a couple months ago; and while admittingly not having been born as yet— when JFK's assassination happened on 22 Nov 1963 —proceeds to pretend as if she's some kind of an authority on the period of U. S./Soviet & U.S./Cuban cold war relations and crises, all the while clearly reading from a script written and prepared for her throughout, whilst she pretends to just be suddenly thinking of questions to ask Rob Reiner. 🙄
As her and Rob Reiner teetertotter /∆\ their narrating back & forth... female...male...female...male.....persistently taking approximately 15 second turns at narrating ...🙄... which is not only ridiculous, but very annoying to listen to, as if they're telling a story to a group of elementary school kids, or at most, a group of junior high school kids. 🙄

The only partially redeeming bits are the contributions by Jon Meacham and a few other guest contributors.
