I am currently looking to switch from my Storm 2 BB to a Droid Incredible 2 or go with LTE Thunderbolt/Charge. I like the Incredible 2 since I do travel to Japan a couple of times a year where having a global phone is nice but not a necessity, but with the new tiered plans the international data plan isn?t going to give me enough data to make it worthwhile. I would love to have and LTE phone for the faster download speed but it isn?t global ready.
I have two questions.
Currently when I travel overseas I change to the international data plan for the week or two that I am over during the month, usually once or twice a year. If I do this after the plans changed to tiered do I then lose my unlimited plan with I switch to an international plan? Or will the international plan be an add on?
How difficult is it to activate my Storm 2 before I would leave on my trip? This seems like an involved process since I would probably have to setup BIS each time to retrieve email while I am gone.
