Android Central Question

I just got a Poco X3 just a day ago. I don't know what happened but suddenly there was no internet connection in some apps like Google Chrome, Opera or in Google play store itself, but other apps like facebook were connected just fine. There was both a wifi sign at the top that says I don't have internet in my wifi and a wifi sign that says I'm connected.

After doing a factory reset the problem was solved, but I want to know whether this was an issue with the phone itself that I should replace it for, or was it just something related to the android and software itself that might get fixed through future updates?

You also mentioned this in a PM to me: "The wifi sign that said I'm connected was on the left, the one that said I didn't was on the right"

The one on the left was likely a notification from an app -- it's hard to say which one, but if it happens again, you should swipe down the notification panel to look at the details to see which app is responsible for it.

Was this at home, using your own home wi-fi network? Or were you connecting to a network that someone else set up? If it happens again, see this guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html

I'm not entirely sure but I don't think the no-wifi sign was from a notification. It was using my own home wifi network, I tried resetting the router at that time and trying other phones, but the proplem seemed to only persist with my phone. What I want to really know is if this was a problem with the phone itself that requires me to replace it with another one from the same store, or was it just a software issue that all other phones of the same version share?

You said that the icon stating you had a connection was on the left, while the one that said you had no connection was on the right. Icons on the left are usually app notifications, while ones on the right are for system status. So I suspect that at the time, your phone did not have any valid internet connection through your home wi-fi, but perhaps at some point before, it did connect successfully (although only temporarily), which led to the connection notification icon on the left (which is not typical of Android -- that's why I thought it might have been due to a 3rd party network monitoring app). App notifications will persist until you dismiss them, so that notification was still there even though you had lost connection.

Did you already look through my previously linked wi-fi guide to see if anything helps with your wi-fi network? It is not that unusual for only a specific device to have problems connecting to a home network -- it doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong with that device's hardware.
