I have had my TB for a couple of months now - in general pretty happy with it. That said, I started to notice that the internet connection is not very stable. I work in Manhattan and use it mostly on my desk - connection quality varies (some what often) from excellent to none. I used to have the Incredible and while it is not as fast as the TB but I don't recall any major connection issue. Any thoughts?

I do not believe so - 1.12.605.6 is what I currently have - followed the instructions here but never was able to update anything.

since today is the 14th, hopefully the mr2 ota will be tomorrow. the mr2 provided me with a much more stable internet connection.

Yup -- I'd wait for the next update, scheduled for tomorrow. You're still running the original version, which had known radio issues, especially if you are in a location where 4G to 3G handoffs are frequent.

Where in Manhattan? I'm having stability problems lately as well. I'm downtown (financial district) where I've always had 4G.

I am still having connection problem and no update is available for me and I have tried all the methods to update. Can I take my phone to a Verizon store and ask them to update it for me?

I have the same issues and only rebooting the phone clears it up. I hope they fix this in the next update

the only update at this time that will help your problem is the mr2 ruu, but that requires a full data wipe, and is not an official ota release. it is signed though, so you can install it w/o root. you can read about it here: Full MR2 Update Leaks for HTC Thunderbolt, Fix Those Reboot Problems Now - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog beware though that this is a leaked release, not an official one, and to bring you back to older software would require root.

have you tried putting your phone in airplane mode and off again? sometimes i have to do this 2 or 3 times. alternatively, i've also used "lte onoff" app to switch to cdma then back to lte, sometimes you have to do this a few times as well. there is also a "restart connections app", may require to do a few times as well.
