Just wondering will the S5 every have the option to use the Internet and talk at the same time. Is this just a software fix or does the hardware not support the option?

I think we will get it when sprint rolls out voice over LTE. But that prob won't happen until spark is done in your area.

Looking at my last bill and 3800 texts, 12 minutes of talk time. People don't use phones to talk.

Key word: your phone bill.

Here is mine... (see below). Also OP yes it's possible depending on your carrier. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon should do Voice and data... Sprint won't unless on wifi.

Actually Sprint does support using internet while on the phone I have the Galaxy note 3 as well from sprint have no issues using my phone via LTE while talking, it was the same for my s3 and my s4. I dont think its a sprint thing more so the manufacturer, For example, AT&T Iphones can do the same talk while browse the internet however other companies can not.

The newer Spark enabled phones can't do it. The older phones were made to do it on Sprint.

not on the s5.....with the original s4, you could do SVLTE

and with the s3, you could do SVDO and SVLTE

but the s5 can't do either

look above...it simply won't happen with the s5 since its SPARK
Sprint will bankrupt themselves with tricks like this. 3 letters will fix the problem A T T

I got 2 words for you....unlimited data!!!

Sprint is the lowest rated cell provider according to Consumers Report. AT&T is just above them. Sprint coverage in Michigan is just awful. I have been with AT&T and never had an issue.

You're getting your carriers mixed up.. AT&T doesn't throttle. They charge overages. Also just because it works for you doesn't mean it did for him... I'd take a cap over no service if I had to :p.

T-Mobile is the one with throttle plans.... But they also have truly unlimited like Sprint. Sprint was horrible in my area.. Got 3g a ton and that's unacceptable since it insanely slow. T-Mobile is best for me in my area.

I jumped from Sprint to Verizon for the various reasons listed. The 4g is blazing fast. Twice as fast as my Wi-Fi. But... Losing unlimited data blows. I get 2gb a month with 10.00 per gb over. So pick your poison. I think in a year going back to Sprint. While it wasn't as fast, I didn't have data cap worries.

It all comes down to the coverage in your area as to who the best carrier is for YOU! ATT is total crap in my back yard but is great in the city 40 miles away! Verizon is fairly good here and T-Mobil is also good while US Cellular has the best coverage by far! 20 MB LTE everywhere I travel on a daily basis while my daughter with ATT has NO COVERAGE at all 10 miles from a major freeway! AND Sprint is basically non-existent anywhere in the area!
It comes down to the carrier you can "tolerate" and gives you somewhat acceptable service for the ridiculous fee they charge! If you truely love your carrier, count yourself VERY fortunate OR very easy to please!

Cheers
