Hi there,
Just upgraded from my Galaxy S Captivate to the Galaxy Note and found my way here while doing some research on the possibility and pros and cons of root. I just installed Avast and the firewall and anti theft options are only available on a rooted phone. I'm fairly technically inclined and I pick things pretty quick but I'm nowhere near knowledgeable enough in this to even consider it an option yet, I'm just learning
I used to know my way around DOS back in high school, PRE-preAOL, in the BBS days but that was longer ago that I'd care to admit
Anyone have any advice? Well, not advice, I'll make up my own mind...just info please? I don't want to with my phone, I'm very happy with it! I'd just like to know if these extra security features are worth the risk.
Thank you,
-Kate
