I recently switched from Blackberry (4 years of them) to the Droid X.I'm a stay at home mom of three kids, so I live and die by my phone/calendar/contacts. I've eventually been able to get the Droid to do most of what I need it to do, either by installing apps or searching the forums, but there seems to be one thing that I haven't been able to "fix" yet.
No matter what I'm working on - whether it's texting, adding an appointment ,searching the web or checking my mail - , within about 15 seconds the dialpad with my last used phone number pops up. The strange thing is, I'm not using the stock dialpad as my default. I'm using the Go Dialer, Go SMS, and Go Contacts to manage all that info. Yet every 15 seconds the stock dialpad pops up, as if it is defaulted. I've gone to Home, Settings, Applications, Manage, to change the defaults and the Go's are all listed as my defaults. The Dialer is not. I've checked security and privacy, thinking that this is some sort of privacy thing, that's not it. It really is annoying and driving me crazy. If I'm in the middle of a text message, the thing pops up and I have to hit the back arrow in order to make it go away. Sometimes what I was working on is still there, sometimes I have to start over because its gone. It's maddening.
