iPhone 4 doesn't turn on without charger

I know this is a forum for android phones but it's the only one I know of. I dropped my iPhone 4 and the back shattered. The back almost comes off. It first wouldn't turn on, then it fell into a bootloop, and now it doesn't turn on without the charger and if I disconnect the charger it turns off and won't turn back on without the charger. How can I fix this? Again, sorry for an iPhone question on an android forum.

Your battery is probably not able to hold a charge. You need to get the battery replaced.

It could be the battery died and you'd need to have it replaced. It could also be that whatever caused the back to shatter also dislodged the battery connection and it just needs to be plugged back in.
