Thank you so so so much for the reply. So what happens just put in the cricket Sim card in that is it? Are you completely sure I don't work on the way and I do not want any surprises? Thank you again. I find it curious that the Best at doing this it completely terms android in this in my galaxy S3 is only partially compatible. Thank you so much. May end up switching after the two-year agreement over. Do any of you all happen to know if cricket will get service up in the mountains near Boone North Carolina?

Cricket is a wholly owned subsidiary of att and runs on att network. The Verizon iPhone 5c is identical to the att version. It will function fully on cricket.

So why is it that the iPhones are fully compatible with AT&T when they were purchased at Verizon but my unlocked Samsung galaxy S3 can only get edge. Is this one of the few perks of having an iPhone. Will she get 4GLTE or just HSPA plus as I heard that when a phone is not on its main carrier that one it was made for that it will only get HSPA plus. Even that would be fine I think. he

It just depends on the phone. Most phones released now a days on Verizon are fully compatible with AT&T. Your S3 was probably released a little early before Verizon fully went that direction. Because your mom's phone is newer, this is why it works better.

She will get 4G LTE on Cricket by putting its SIM in the phone. The phone will program itself and not need any action by the owner.

Awesome I just wanted to make sure because mine only gets 2G. I guess that makes sense because the Samsung S3 is an older phone and I keep forgetting that and not taking into account. So if we switch and I get a new phone to cricket or AT&T to say are the same and she brings her iPhone 5c there should be no problems. Do I have all of this correct? Like I said earlier I just do not want to fool with APN settings or any such thing even though I am pretty technical I do not want to risk screwing up her phone.

So for that amount of time 4 to 8 hours we are without a cell phone. Is it ever faster than that I was hoping you could be within 10 or 15 minutes. LOLI guess that happens with supporting from one company to another.I just don't want to get home and have to go

This is between the carrier and manufacturer. Apple has more clout.

I don't know of any Verizon Android phones that are fully compatible with AT&T.

I probably should have qualified that a little bit better. Apple's 5, 5s, 5c, 6, and 6+ for Verizon are fully compatible along with the Nexus 6. The only difference between a Verizon and AT&T iPhone is that the Verizon version includes the CDMA radios. The GSM/LTE radios are exactly the same. Basically, the Verizon version of the iPhone is the same as the unlocked version that Apple sells on its website.

The Verizon 5 isn't fully compatible, but others are with att. They aren't the same as the unlocked version on apple though. The unlocked version supports time division duplex, the Verizon and AT&T do not.

You are right the Verizon n6 is fully compatible with AT&T. But I believe that it is the only Verizon Android that is fully compatible.
