There may be a thread on this subject already, but I'd like to know if anyone has any information about when I will stop seeing "laughed at", "liked by" etc from iphone ppl on mixed android/imessage group chats. I understand RCS is becoming all of android but I presume imessage will never get along with it? That **** is annoying in group chats.

Short answer, (and quite likely) never. RCS has nothing to do with this and is just a way iMessage 'translates' reactions from their platform into SMS/MMS for non-iMessage users, whether that is in a group chat or a one-to-one thread. A savvy developer with a 3rd party messaging app might further intercept these (since the text is always the same) and either remove from the thread or display something more graphically akin to what iUsers see on their end, but don't think any of them see this as a worthy feature to spend their time on.
