I am with At&t and currently use an iPhone and a Blackberry Bold. I jump back and forth by switching my sim. My family has 5 lines with them. I am so excited about this phone that I just got back from Best Buy and pre-ordered it. I can't wait until Friday. Going to give it a try and see if it takes me away from At&t. This is the first phone that I have even considered leaving At&t for. I have owned all 3 versions of the iPhone, it's a love/hate relationship with it. I seemed to have grown very tired and bored with the iPhone, it's just too locked down.

Now the waiting begins......is it Friday yet?

Welcome to the forum Runner. I really think you're going to like Android. Am I correct in assuming you're getting the Droid on Big Red?

I used to have Verizon. The service was awesome. I think you will like the service. I think the only question will be if you like the Droid better than the iPhone. I bet you will.

I am making the jump from the iPhone and Blackberry Bold on AT&T. I think the major problem with the iPhone is that we all NEED a secondary device to fix our needs the iPhone fails with.

Personally I am sick of the on screen keyboard and how plain and outdated the software looks. Ya the keyboard is nice for some quick typing but if I want to write an email I can only see one line of text in landscape mode.

Another major issue like Runner mentioned is how locked down it is. I have Jailbroken the device so that helps out a lot but I hate having to wait so long to install the new Apple software for the Dev team to jailbreak the device.

My last issue/concern is not so much a Droid, iPhone or Blackberry device issue so much as a network issue. I LOVE GSM/HSDPA network, I can use data and voice at the same time. For me this is huge as I tether my car PC and need the data and voice at the same time. I will try the Droid out and see if it work, however this could be a deal breaker for me. From what I have been reading, Verizon customers seem to not care about this issue but personally I think its HUGE.

AT&T just sucked. Verizon had a limited selection and is finally stepping it up. The DROID is the first phone that has me all excited in a while.

Howdy, i'm joining the DROID crowd come Friday. Pre-ordered my DROID last night so I don't have to worry about not having one on launch day. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I, like many I'm sure, are coming from 1+ years of god awful experiences on AT&T. While I generally still like my iPhone, it's become too simple. Hopefully DROID will cure that.
