iPhone Owner Switching to Note 8

Hi! After years of being with Apple I have made the jump to Samsung and got a Note 8. I love the device, the S-Pen and Screen are beautiful. I have to get used to Android though, it's scary

It is my understanding that this phone doesn't need backup? Am I correct?

Well, you can backup via cloud and or sd card. I backup on cloud.

How are you doing that, for some reason on my s8+ it will not let me use my google drive for backup.

Backup on Samsung Cloud, a good app option Gcloud, possible 2ndary backup on a good SD memory card, Photos backup on Google Photos.
