IR Blaster not working on Huawei P10

I don't think the p10 has ir, only mate 9 pro has, i have both

The P10 Plus has the IR blaster on it. I have had no issues with the stock Smart Remote app. I've even managed to use it at a friends house to control their tv lol The app is quite handy and easy to add a remote.

I couldn't get my P10 plus to connect via IR either. I did find a work around that may work for people that have a tv that is less than 7 years old and have a WiFi connection to their TV or ethernet to their tv (generally used for updates).

You can use an app like 'sure universal remote' to use WiFi control instead of IR. As far as I know 'peel' doesn't have the swap between IR an WiFi 'Smart remote'

I know this doesn't solve the dodgy IR on the P10 plus but mine also doesn't work and the dog has just chewed the TV remote!

That's odd. My P10 Plus IR blaster works great. I use it to control my TV all the time with the stock Huawei app.
